In the early 90′s we founded a non-profit organisation, now called the Mastery Co-operative Ltd. It became a way of support to people in their personal growth endeavours. Now the co-op is folding. From this ending, a new beginning is being created, and prosperity is being shared. Let me explain …
Most Australians will have heard of Moira Kelly. She is the amazing Aussie/Irish woman who has brought children here from all over the world to have life-saving surgery and medical procedures. In recent years you may have seen her in the news with Trishna and Krishna.
We first met Moira through Louise Ward of the Yarra Valley Conference Centre ( http://www.yarravalleyconference.com.au ) around 1996 before Moira and her work was known by many people and before her foundation, was set up in 1999. We, and the Tikashi Mastery Class, have been supporters of Moira both physically and financially since we first met her at Yarra Valley Conference Centre.
On 7th May we hosted a small morning tea with some of our Mastery Class Community. Moira arrived with some of the children, Marcus, Mimosa and Trishna, assisted by the delightful Lois. It gave us a chance to chat and reminisce with Moira about our connections over the years and share some laughs about the time some of the Mastery Class members managed to get Backyard Blitz to do her garden at the Children First Farm in Kilmore.
Then a cheque for $9500 from the Mastery Co-operative was presented to Moira. This is the new beginning part – Moira requested that the cheque to the Children First Foundation be earmarked specifically as the initial funds for Trishna and Krishna’s future education.
We were delighted to assist her with the twins future education fund, and we were glad that through the life of the co-operative, it has not only assisted to fund people desiring more, but that the remainder of funds has gone to a cause close to our hearts. Moira then spent some time updating everyone about her children and about Ahmed’s exciting swimming events prospects for the next para-olympics.
It was certainly a morning of prosperity shared, along with lots of love and laughter. Moira was wished a Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday, as she has given the gift of life to so many children.
